The headline feature of Version 3.0 is the introduction of Kapp’n’s Resort Hotel. This brand-new facility is attached directly to the island dock, expanding the area where Kapp’n currently offers boat tours.

Inside the hotel, Kapp’n’s family members help run daily operations. Players will find:

- Outfit mannequins for guest styling  
- A front desk where guest room decorations are managed

One of the Resort Hotel’s main activities is decorating guest rooms. Villagers request themed rooms—such as a Seaside Room—and players must decorate them using a mix of newly introduced furniture and items they already own.

Successfully completing a room earns a new currency called Hotel Tickets. For example, decorating a Seaside Room for a guest has been shown to reward 200 Hotel Tickets.

While this system may feel familiar to players of the Happy Home Paradise DLC, Nintendo has hinted that there may be additional layers and mechanics still to be revealed.

Hotel Tickets can also be earned through a new Tom Nook–operated kiosk located near Kapp’n’s dock.

At this kiosk, players receive rotating requests to craft special island goods using DIY recipes. Completing these crafting requests provides another consistent way to earn Hotel Tickets, tying traditional crafting gameplay directly into the new hotel system.
